SUMMARY:Outlands 40th Year Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Kingdom of the Outlands will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a five-day event at the El Paso County Fairgrounds\, October 1–5\, 2026. \nOutlands 40th brings together the kingdom’s fighters\, artisans\, equestrians\, and revelers for a weekend of combat\, classes\, feasting\, and general Outlandish merriment. The event will feature armored and rapier combat\, archery\, thrown weapons\, and equestrian activities alongside a full slate of Arts & Sciences classes and feasts inspired by different regions and historical periods. \nThe event also offers plenty of opportunities for camping and socializing\, with attendees able to stay on the fairgrounds from Thursday through Monday. Helga Ball is a modern Viking-inspired game where twelve to fifteen women compete to score points by carrying a cabbage in their apron while facing rugby-style tackling\, soccer-style kicking\, and wrestling-style moves.
